We’re launching a series of monthly ‘How To Sessions’ to help organisers of events big and small to create great live experiences.
The sessions – which will be full of useful tips, advice and best practice from event professionals – kick off with the topic: ‘How To Run A Club Night’ at Twenty Twenty Two in Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Wednesday, February 11.
Some of city’s finest DJs and promoters are joining us for a Q&A, where they’ll chat about everything from finding the perfect venue and booking DJs, to selling tickets and making money.
Whether you’re a student just starting your first club night or a more established promoter wanting to explore new methods, there will undoubtedly be some useful takeaways from the experienced panel.
Chairing the event is Jamie Groovement (groovement.co.uk), who as well as being a prolific music blogger in Manchester, also promotes and warms up events for most international hip-hop artists on tour in the city. On the panel we have Danuka from So Flute, Juicy Club’s Oscar Wildstyle, Sophie Bee, Production Manager at the Albert Hall and DJ Samurai from Swing Ting.
Between them, they’ve hosted some of the best club nights in Manchester and played with international artists like Wu Tang, De La Soul, Snoop Dogg, Jungle, Annie Mac…the list goes on and on. Safe to say, these folk know what they’re talking about and have years of experience between them.
You can register for your free ticket to How To Run A Club Night here, but hurry, spaces are limited!
