Less than a week away and we’re as excited as anyone about the inaugural London Technology Week!  

Headquartered in San Francisco (where we were founded in 2006), we set up a base in London in September 2011 and never looked back…it continues to be one of our top three cities around the world. 

London Technology Week is all about celebrating the vibrancy of tech innovation in London, and so we wanted to get involved in several of the fantastic events that are taking place, and we’d love for you to join us…

On Tuesday 17 June, we’ll be kicking off the week with Leisure Tech Expo at the O2 arena. Our co-founder, Julia Hartz, will be sharing her insights into how company culture impacts global success before joining co-founder Kevin Hartz in a discussion with entrepreneur, Mike Southon. Other speakers include Experience Economist, Joseph Pine and Sir Eric Peacock of the UKTI.

On Wednesday 18 June, Kevin and Julia will keynote at Internet World at ExCel London. They will be joined by Matt Cowan (ex-Reuters) to talk about what they have learnt in hindsight from building a thriving global business.

Later that evening, we will have all three of our co-founders (Kevin, Julia and Renaud Visage) on stage together at Startup Grind London. This is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to hear from Kevin, Julia and Renaud about how they came to start the company and what challenges they’ve faced along the way.

On Thursday 19 June, Kevin and Julia will be joined by serial entrepreneur, Brent Hoberman, as part of the Vator Splash London 2014 event at Google Campus. Here they will be part of the popular startup competition bringing together some of the brightest minds in venture and angel investing in the UK and US. Of course, who could forget that it’s also the night England take on Uruguay, so we’ll be giving our US founders a little taste of what football is all about!
