Reserve National was founded in 1956, in Oklahoma City, OK.  Since then, their range of policyholders has grown to include individuals, families, small business owners and the self-employed.

In 1998, Reserve National was purchased by Unitrin, Inc., a Chicago-based insurance group.  This purchase brought Reserve National together with one of the country’s leading financial service providers. The Unitrin family specializes in property and casualty, life, health, and automobile insurance, as well as consumer finance products. With over $8 billion in assets, Unitrin employs nearly 8,500 associates.

Reserve National Insurance Company offers a broad array of insurance products such as individual hospital, hospital indemnity, supplemental outpatient, Medicare supplement, home, and health yet one of their primary products is life insurance.  Their basic term life coverage provides protection at a set premium for a specific amount of time.  Once the time frame has closed, the policy can either be dropped or reinstated (most likely at a higher premium).  This type of insurance serves to pay death benefits to surviving family members or beneficiaries.
