• The stakeholders’ vote to implement the VIP-220 proposal and PoA2.0 is ongoing.
  • VeChain foundation partners with World of V and ExPlus to deliver the first official VeChain foundation NFT launch.

The VeChain foundation has confirmed (via Twitter) that the all-stakeholder vote for PoA2.0 is ongoing. The stakeholder vote will allow stakeholders to vote on implementing the VIP-220 proposal. The proposal seeks to add finality to the VeChainThor mainnet and complete the proof-of-authority 2.0 (PoA2.0) upgrade process.

In a related development, the VeChain foundation also announced a collaboration between VeChain and Nitto ATP finals. This event is the final series in the ATP tour and will take place between November 13 and 20, 2022, in Turin, Italy.

The collaboration allows VeChain to boost its brand’s awareness, connect with high-profile attendees and global brands and demonstrate the use of new technologies in achieving sustainable development goals. The first project under this partnership will see the unveiling of a new program with the chance for participants to win exclusive prizes.

One of the exclusive prizes is the chance to sit in a VIP box with ex-tennis star Flavia Panetta and watch the ATP finals. ExPlus and World of V (an NFT marketplace) would also contribute to this first project.

The VeBounce launch

Before the start of the ATP world series finale, VeChain foundation, ExPlus, and World of V partnered to launch a blockchain-built lottery event and the platform’s first NFT collection. There are 5,000 uniquely designed tennis balls in the VeChain NFT collection, known as the VeBounce NFT collection.

Each piece in the VeBounce collection is an exclusive collectible as they differ in terms of rarities, traits, and attributes. Users can claim an NFT by completing 15 quiz questions and correctly answering at least 80 percent. The questions are drawn from general knowledge about VeChain and tennis.

Winners can mint and claim their collectible even if they don’t own crypto assets or manage one directly. A protocol built on the VeChainThor blockchain, known as Fee Delegation, makes this feat possible.

This possibility is one of the reasons VeChainThor is a leader in real-world adoption. The NFT will be stored in a user’s digital wallet and displayed on their World of V profile. Users can have a second attempt at answering the quiz again if they fail on the first attempt.

When they fail at the first attempt, the site redirects them to a VeChain discord channel where they can access important information about the VeChain network. Then, they can attempt to answer the quiz again. Finally, successful users can receive a veiled version of the NFT, with its unveiling on October 27.

The VeChain foundation will host a Twitter space via its page on this date by 6.30 pm CEST for this unveiling. Unfortunately, users without a VeChainThor-based address with a VeChainThor wallet can’t have the chance to enter the lottery or win prizes.
