As a chemical supplier and a close partner for many pharmaceutical companies, universities and research institutions, Alfa Chemistry recently announces to offer a variety of synthetic chemical APIs, including: donepezil, dexmedetomidine hydrochloride, lenalidomide, parecoxib sodium, rivaroxaban, tofacitinib citrate, tamoxifen citrate, epalrestat, edaravone. All can be used in pharmaceutical preparation.
“As the market for drug discovery and drug manufacturing expands dramatically over the past decade, the demand for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) hence enjoys a big growth. And in response to this trend, our management decides to introduce a new product line, providing a series of high-quality synthetic APIs with the most reasonable price,” says the Marketing Chief of Alfa Chemistry. ”Previously, we have already been a trust-worthy Contract Research Organization (CRO) for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, offering pre-formulation drug discovery, formulation and process development, custom synthesis, and scale up services for many years. We believe our relationship with our partners will be further strengthened after the launch of these popular APIs.”
As for now, Alfa Chemistry offers the following synthetic chemical APIs:
Donepezil is a white or almost white crystalline powder. It is a potent, selective, noncompetitive, and rapidly reversible inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChEI) and is licensed for the treatment of Alzheimer disease (AD) and other types of dementia.
Also a white or almost white powder that is freely soluble in water, dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is, unlike other commonly used drugs such as propofol and fentanyl, notable for its ability to provide sedation without risk of respiratory depression and can provide cooperative or semi-rousable sedation.
Lenalidomide
Lenalidomide is a light yellow powder that is used to treat various types of cancers. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. It is also used to treat anemia in patients with certain blood/bone marrow disorders (myelodysplastic syndromes-MDS).
Parecoxib Sodium
As a white or almost white crystalline powder, parecoxib sodium is an amide prodrug of the cyclooxygenase II (COX-2) selective, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) valdecoxib, with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic activities. It is approved throughout much of Europe for short term postoperative pain control. The parecoxib sodium provided by Alfa Chemistry is of high quality and can meet the CP & EP standards.
Rivaroxaban
Rivaroxaban is an odorless, non-hygroscopic, white to yellowish powder, which is only slightly soluble in organic solvents and practically insoluble in water. Since approved for medical use in the United States in 2011, rivaroxaban has been studied and used in the treatment of thrombosis for years.
Tofacitinib citrate is a novel, oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ulcerative colitis. The tofacitinib citrate offered by Alfa Chemistry is not only of high quality but can also meet the CP standard.
Tamoxifen Citrate
Tamoxifen citrate is an estrogen receptor antagonist and partial agonist which has been shown to induce apoptosis in human malignant glioma cells and to block VEGF production in breast cancer cells. The tamoxifen citrate provided by Alfa Chemistry is of high quality and can meet the CP & EP standards.
Epalrestat
Epalrestat is a carboxylic acid derivative and a noncompetitive and reversible aldose reductase inhibitor used for the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, which is one of the most common long-term complications in patients with diabetes mellitus. The epalrestat provided by Alfa Chemistry is of high quality and can meet the CP & EP standards.
Edaravone
Edaravone is available as a clear, colorless liquid provided as a sterile injection solution supplied for intravenous (IV) infusion. It is used in the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
