Sadly we are coming to the end of Summer School! Luckily, we still have two more classes left of early morning classes! If you missed last week’s classes, here’s a recap, plus a look ahead to the early morning classes left.
Rose & Wolf: How to Make a Flower Crown
What a colourful start to the week we had with Rose & Wolf! There was an abundance of different varieties of flowers, ready to be crafted into flower crowns for all our eager guests. Creativity was flowing, and so many amazing different styles of flower crowns were made. Everyone left with their flowery creations on, brightening up Carnaby Street and showing everyone how festival ready they were.
Meditation & Poetry with Emma Mills
We were lucky enough to have another meditation session with Emma Mills but this time with the inclusion of poetry. After introducing everyone to meditation and helping people ‘get into the zone’, it was on to the poetry, which related extremely well with the vibe everyone was now in after meditating. Everyone left feeling refreshed and enlightened, which is always a great way to feel before heading into work.
Cawston Press: How to Bring Your Business into the Mainstream
To say this was a juicy morning would be an understatement as there were a lot of different delicious flavours of juice to try. Alex and Tom went through the story of Cawston Press and told us the different stages that were needed for them to get into the mainstream. As well as having the right investors behind them, the product, the story and the people behind it all, were key features in making it into the mainstream.
What’s on this week? Here you go:
Thursday 30th July: Learn to Distill Vodka and Gin From Scratch with Chase Distillery
James will introduce the class to a short history of the brand followed by an introduction to distilling with the all-important do’s and don’t when creating super premium spirits! Brave guests will be able to also taste a few limited editions and on completion of the course guests will be awarded with a small gift!
Friday 31st July: Curing with Cobble Lane Cured
A butchery and curing demonstration – we will cut and prepare a cut for curing and hanging. There are several stages in our process for creating a ready to eat, cured product like this. The steps will be explained through demonstration, a bit of meat science, photos and a little tasting too! We will also speak more generally about British cured meats and our business at Cobble Lane Cured Ltd.
