It’s Pride Week! And with it comes an array of events celebrating equality in London. We’ve picked out a selection of events getting you ready for the Pride in London Parade on Saturday and other events to help keep the party going! Whatever you choose to do, have a great Pride Week!

Drinks in the City

The City of London Gay Meet-up, is a way to meet new people, where you can relax with a drink or two and have good conversation and plenty of laughter and fun. The meet-up will be at the decadent Jamie’s Bar where you will be greeted by a complimentary cocktail and a chef’s platter. This event is free to members who have registered for the year, otherwise the yearly membership fee is just £5 and helps to sustain the group.

The Big Gay Pub Quiz

The Big Gay Pub Quis is back! It’s time to pit your wits against the Peter Tatchell Foundation for the big gay trophy. The questions for the quiz have been set by an amazing array of people such as Stephen Fry, Jonathan Harvey,Edmund White & many more. The quiz will be hosted by none other than Timberlina herself, with special guest Eve Ferret popping along too. 100% of the entry fee goes to the Peter Tatchell Foundation, so have fun whilst raising money for a great cause!

RSA Events: Why Coming Out is Good for Business

The RSA provides a platform for leading public thinkers, and this event is no exception. Join Lord Browne, who argues that individuals, the businesses they work for, and economies will thrive only when employees are able to realise and contribute their full potential. Linked to the book, theglasscloset.org, this is a movement to enable employees to share their experiences of being gay in the modern workplace.

London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard Re-launch Gala

Join the London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard for a very special announcement as they re-launch their gala at The Waldorf Hilton. Bigger, shinier and more fabulous than last year’s 40th birthday celebrations, this year’s gala will host an audience of over 600 people including guests from the world of media, arts and entertainment. LLGS provides an information, support and referral service for the nation’s LGBT community, so come along and support this amazing cause.

Wut Club!? Pride Special

East London’s most insane weekly club night, WUT!?CLUB leave their East London home for a special one off party at the centre of the universe, Piccadilly Circus for London Pride. Bringing their colourful crowd of east end club kids, ridiculously beautiful boys (and girls!), insane drag stars and fierce voguing kweens. Set to backdrop of opulent surroundings in the brand new space, The Electric Carousel with incredible DJ’s, the hottest hosts and next level live performances. The Wotever LGBT Tea Dance brings you DJ Jo Bunny, who will play all the tunes you want to dance to, plus, a live PA all the way from California – Sister Mantos – who guarantee they will get you moving, grooving and jumping with their unique blend of funk, latin beats, punky-reggae and avant-pop. Wearing intergalactic costumes they will croon to you in English and Spanish of love, queerness and post-capitalist utopias.
