Eve Systems is partnering with Coulisse to deliver the first HomeKit-enabled smart window blinds we’ve seen. The two companies are developing a new version of MotionBlinds—an extension of the Coulisse window blind automation concept.

Includes wireless motors

MotionBlinds will include wireless motors to work with a variety of blinds, including roller, Venetian, cellular shades, and even curtains. These motors will be the first on the market that will support Thread—a low-power networking technology.

The HomeKit-enabled MotionBlinds will feature easy installation and allow you to control them via your iPhone. The blinds will connect to Bluetooth, so the setup doesn’t require a bridge.

Simply scan a QR code and the blinds will automatically set up. Moreover, you can use an app or voice commands to control and schedule automation instantly. In fact, the entire process only takes a couple of seconds.

To improve usability throughout your purchase, you’ll even see improvements and updates automatically in the Eve app.

MotionBlind’s current connectivity platforms

MotionBlinds aren’t new, but this HomeKit-enabled concept is an extension of the current range. In particular, you can currently use Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Wi-Fi, and IFTTT for improved usability and convenience on Coulisse’s smart blinds.
