What does this mean for you? Clear images, brighter hues, and more immersive productivity. In a nutshell, it has the horizontal resolution of a 5K monitor and the vertical resolution of a 4K display.

Experience brighter hues and clearer contrasts

The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor has a resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 pixels for maximum viewing space, along with a pixel density of nearly 140 PPI. This sharpens images—even small media. Furthermore, it features a 10-bit display that covers 90% of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% of the sRGB color space. Plus, with a response time of 5 ms and a 60 Hz refresh rate, it helps to reduce loading delays while reducing pixelations.

But this monitor also has a focus on safety by using ComfortView Plus: a technology that reduces harmful blue light without sacrificing color. Therefore, you can spend long periods of time looking at the screen while experiencing reduced tiredness or without damaging your eyes.

Ultrawide curved design for easy viewing

Moreover, this monitor boasts a curved design that complements its image quality. This design directs the light from all angles of the screen to your eye. As a result, you’ll be able to view all media without much ocular exertion. And if your eyes can cover a large surface area in one viewing, the images will feel as though they’re larger. In fact, with a viewing angle of 178 angles, you can clearly see everything on the screen—even if you’re not right in front of the monitor. This is a great feature for watching videos, editing images, and more.

Power devices with 90 W of pass-through charging

While this monitor excels in clear images, its talent doesn’t stop there. The Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor has a built-in Thunderbolt 3 port and can power devices with its pass-through charging. In fact, this is a desirable feature for Mac users. It also comes equipped with two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, three 10 Gbps USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, and one USB-B upstream port. And discreetly placed underneath the monitor is another USB-C port and 10 Gbps USB-A port. With this range of connectivity, you can connect and charge an array of devices or transfer files with ease.

Overall, the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Monitor is available on January 28. Is this a date you’ll be adding to your calendar? Share your thoughts and feedback on Dell’s latest launch in the comments.
