At Eventbrite, we’re not afraid to completely rethink how to solve the biggest challenges in the industry. We strive to deliver what our event organizers and attendees need for a great event experience, but never settle for the way “it’s always been done.”
Today, we’re proud to launch a brand new reserved seating solution–Eventbrite’s Seat Designer, which is unlike any existing reserved seating: a self-service product that’s so intuitive and easy-to-use that it enables event organizers of any size and type of event to generate more revenue and guarantee a better experience for their attendees.

Last year we started challenging ourselves to re-imagine this solution with our world-class engineering and design team. Aside from the creation of a beautiful and robust online design tool, we’re particularly proud of the breakthroughs we made around simplifying the complex and cumbersome process of setting up seat maps and assignments.
For the first time, organizers can set the order that their tickets are sold in one click by defining where their main attraction is at the event, and quickly explore various ticketing configurations to ensure they’re maximizing event revenue.
Don’t be fooled though–this intuitive, delightful user experience is backed by sophisticated backend technology that will scale to the largest and most popular of events, and ensures a wicked fast purchase process for attendees via Eventbrite for mobile and the web. And with reserved seating, attendees will be inspired to buy tickets early to get the best seats.
Additionally, Eventbrite’s Seat Designer offers the ability to:
• Easily create a realistic seat map in minutes
• Fill the best seats with ‘best available’ seating
• Set optimal pricing for each seat in the house
• Save and crowd-source seat maps by other organizers
• Integrate with other Eventbrite tools to set up discounts, access sales data and reports at any time…and much more!
Seat designer is now available to all organizers on Eventbrite.com and will be in the UK on March 26th, as well as in other localized sites around the world. You can turn on ‘Reserved Seating’ in Step 2 when you create an event.
We’re excited to introduce this new reserved seating functionality, but we’re just getting started; there’s plenty left to do in our mission to provide simple, intuitive tools for events of all shapes and sizes and bring people together through live experiences.
