I don’t know about you but it really feels like everyone is more focused on eating healthily and getting active these days. I kicked off the year with a health kick, courtesy of Chris Kresser – luckily my trip to Eventbrite HQ last week coincided with his book signing in San Francisco.
I also recently took myself off on a girls’ weekend away to Lucy Mecklenburgh’s BootyCamp earlier this month – you can even spot me in some of the Daily Mail pictures! It was just what we all needed and even though they worked us hard, we all came back feeling happy and motivated.
The Results with Lucy team put together a really varied programme over the weekend, covering everything from body conditioning, to hula hooping, to yoga and nutrition. They sold tickets on Eventbrite and I had a chat to Frank Harris, Partner at Results with Lucy, about how the first weekend went and what the interest has been like for the next weekend in May.
“There’s a fairly small team of us that have been working on building this weekend so using a self-service tool for ticketing was perfect for us. We just needed a simple way for people to be able to pay and the flexibility to offer lots of different ticket types because the venue has a variety of dorms and rooms available.”
“As this was our first camp it’s also really useful to see where everyone came from. We’re looking at different locations in the UK and abroad so this sort of insight is really helpful when we’re thinking about our future plans.”
So, if you’re looking for something to kick start your healthy lifestyle then I’d really recommend the next Bootycamp in May – or if you’re a fitness professional, why not organise your own health and fitness event on Eventbrite?
