Public Event

Dating in the district comes with its highs and lows, the good, the bad, and most certainly the ugly. Year after year, thousands of unique progressives from around the globe transplant to this rapidly gentrified chocolate city, bringing along new ingredients to add to this scorching hot melting pot.
This is why we are pulling together a discussion around this topic. Hosted and MC'd by Ronya-Lee of Ronya-Lee and the Light Factory, we will hear from various experts in the dating industry, each of whom offer a different perspective on what it takes to date successfully in the DMV. Come prepared to ask questions and share your real experiences, touching on everything from online apps, to where to meet that special someone, to how long it takes to settle down in DC. Following the panel, attendees will participate in guided constructive peer discussions on various sub-topics around dating.
So bring a friend, or come solo! We can’t wait to see you there!!!
NOTE: Please arrive early if you want to secure a seat as we are expecting a large crowd and seating will be limited. We also suggest putting food orders in early as it will be more difficult to do so once the discussion begins.
The Venue:
Kaldis is a two-level social house with a coffee lounge downstairs and a large bar/lounge upstairs. The main event will be taking place upstairs while the business vendor pop-up will be downstairs.
Black Business Vendor Pop-Up:
Attendees can support and shop from black owned business vendor booths on the first floor during the networking portion of the event. Be sure to arrive early before product runs out! If you or someone you know interested in purchasing a vendor booth at this event, please email us at upcboard@gmail.com.
