JOB SUMMARY: Security sales representatives spend the majority of their time procuring leads and speaking with potential clients. As a sales representative, you represent our services, analyze the needs of our clients and draft an agreement to move forward with security services as requested. After a successful transaction, sales representatives follow through with all necessary paperwork, documentation and post-sales support to proceed smoothly, performing customer service duties that prevent new customers from getting cold feet after signing a contract.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Inspect and review physical premises and design solutions in accordance with client needs and best industry practices
Establish and develop mutually beneficial relationships with existing clients to obtain referrals to develop into new sales
Monitor job progress and demonstrate system operation during a final “walk-through” with clients
Prospect for new clients in order to create new market share to sell security services
Sell additional services to existing customers
Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas
Prepare documents through our established process guidelines
Win contracts and offer exceptional customer service and follow-up
Answer questions about the services
Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
Any and all duties and tasks delegated by the Chief of Security.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent is required
More than 1 year experience in Sales
Great work Ethic
Ability to manage several tasks at once
A thorough knowledge of accepted Security procedures and NV. law.
Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs
Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network
Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale
Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers
Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations and carry heavy products
Must possess good oral and written communication skills along with a good working knowledge of basic computer programs.
Must be able to obtain and possess a NV. PILB Card and have a current, valid Nevada Driver's License.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat in excess of 115 degrees, or cold as low as 10 degrees.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
Must be able to work outside a normal schedule, as needs arise.
