About the Job
MELD is a new generation of DeFi protocols working cross chain and between the crypto and fiat worlds. We are building a lending and borrowing ecosystem to replace banks with a new decentralized vision of what finance can look like. Our protocol includes a dApp for interacting with our multi-chain wallet, lending and borrowing, staking and governance modules with a focus on good user experience and ease of use. We are appealing to both everyday users and we are building a SDK for decentralization and composability at scale.
As Senior Back-End Developer at MELD Labs, you'll be responsible for the server side services development and API of our multi-chain wallet and lending and borrowing protocol. You'll be involved in the entire product development lifecycle. You'll write reusable, testable and maintainable code. You'll work closely with our development team to ensure system consistency and to create a great user experience. Ultimately, you'll be the driving force behind all back-end activities as part of a highly innovative company at the forefront of DeFi and Web3.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the blockchain development team to build the back-end of the DeFi protocol application for our dApp, mobile app and composability by other protocols
- Migrating existing MELDapp elixir (Erlang) based back-end logic into Golang
- Build backend services using Golang, Gin, Solidity, Plutus, Hardhat, Typescript and JS.
- Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience.
- Developing ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
- Lead development and code reviews
Requirements
- 4 years experience or more working as a Golang Developer and Gin
- 2 year minimum doing development in the crypto industry
- Strong understanding of crypto, DeFi, bridges & Web3
- Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and patterns
- Working closely with QA and DevOps for a better development pipeline
- Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a group.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- 2 years experience or more as an Elixir Developer
Skills
Golang, Elixir
Compensation
60,000 to 100,000$ per year + Tokens
