About AEGON
Founded in 1983, AEGON is the product of a merger between two Dutch insurers, AGO and Ennia. But the company can trace its roots to the middle of the 19th Century when its predecessors provided burial funds to customers in the Netherlands.
Today, AEGON is an international business, providing life insurance, pensions and other long-term products and investments to millions of customers around the world. AEGON is listed on the stock exchanges of Amsterdam, London, New York and Tokyo.

Aegon’s health insurance products include coverage for disability, long-term nursing or custodial care needs. They may be purchased on a group basis (by a firm to cover its employees) or by individuals. In each case, the covered groups or individuals pay premiums or taxes to help protect themselves from high or unexpected healthcare expenses. Similar benefits paying for medical expenses may also be provided through social welfare programs funded by the government.
